Death Valley National Park protects some of the most dramatic desert features to be seen anywhere on Earth.  From huge dry lakebeds, to volcanic craters, to mountain peaks reaching over 11,000 feet.  The park also contains a number of spectacular sand dunes that beckon visitors to trek to their summits.  Death Valley is the only place where all five of the dune types found on the planet can be seen in one place.

The Fund for People in Parks provided a grant for filmmaker Ryan Christensen of Bristlecone Media to produce a film that highlights all five of the far-flung major dune complexes within the park.

The film can be viewed below or on YouTube as part of the Death Valley Explorer series, and is included in the park’s social media and outreach communications.
